Seat has given its Altea and Leon ranges a neat visual facelift, complemented by the introduction of new common rail diesel engines and enhanced levels of luxury and safety kit. The new-look models will make their debut at the Geneva motorshow in early March, alongside the new Exeo estate and a yet-to-be-seen Ecomotive concept. According to Seat, the new-look Altea and Leon families adopt Seat’s ‘Arrow Design’ look introduced on the Ibiza by Seat design boss and ex-Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke to create a more consistent visual look to the Spanish range.
Jaguar Land Rover SVO Pebble Beach debuts include the Jaguar F-Type Project 7
Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations Division may only just have come in to being, but that’s not stopping them delivering three cars for their North American debut at the Pebble Beach Event later this month. First of the SVO cars on show will be the new Range Rover Sport SVR, Land Rover’s most extreme performance car to date, which has just run the Nurburgring in a record time for an SUV (although we’re not sure many buyers will really care) and which should find a ready market in the US. Second of the SVO cars is the new Jaguar F-Type Project 7, which with its open-topped default mode will doubtless have American buyers from the sunny states opening their cheque books on sight.
Vauxhall's line-up for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show
Vauxhall will be debuting the new Vauxhall Mokka compact MPV, the Astra GTC-based Astra VXR, Rad-e concept and Insignia BiTurbo at Geneva 2012. It’s interesting to get the heads-up on new models ahead of their actual public debut, but that can take away the impact for new cars. Which is just what Vauxhall’s stand at Geneva will suffer.
